It would be a privileged and an honor to come along side you as your writing tutor in order to achieve the academic success you are looking for. I absolutely love tutoring because when a student finally understands a concept something very special happens within them. The student grows. That is really what tutoring is all of about; the growth of the student. I want to be your tutor to help you grow. I have tutored many students all reaching this point of growth in their ability and in their thinking. I had one of these “growth” moments in my sophomore year in my undergraduate studies. I was in an extremely writing intensive course that pushed me to my limit. At this point, my writing was not at a collegiate level which showed in my grades. This one communications course, however, worked me to my limit and grew. Looking back, that was my favorite class because I worked so hard and I grew. As your writing tutor, I will push you and work you hard so that you may grow. With that being said, I do not believe in over working a student on assignments just to keep them busy. I believe in a tutoring method that is designed and developed around the individual student. All of our brains are wired differently which makes working in a way that is counter-intuitive fruitless. Therefore, we will begin by seeking to understand the mind of the student which will directly dictate the next course of action to help the student grow in their writing.
