Experience
I'm an experienced tutor and teacher, who also has a lot of experience rock climbing. I studied philosophy in college and after I graduated with my bachelor's degree, I pursued another passion of mine. I have always loved rock climbing and went on to become a rock climbing guide. I worked to encourage people to conquer their fears and also get out of their comfort zones. I have gotten good at gently pushing people past their fears. Another skill I learned from being a guide that I have carried into teaching is using a combination of technical knowledge and encouragement to help my pupils reach their goals. It is important to help students develop critical thinking skills that they will use throughout the rest of their lives. Throughout all of my endeavors, I have continued to pursue my love for learning and I hope I can spark the same passion in each pupil I teach. When I am not tutoring, you can find me doing crosswords and taking photos, I love photography. I am looking forward to helping you or your student develop a love of learning as strong as mine.
