Experience
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English from Michigan State University and a Master's Degree in English from Wayne State University. I have a great love of learning, which is a big part of the reason why I decided to become an educator. Even when I'm teaching, I still feel like I learn something new every time I have an opportunity to teach. My goal as a tutor is to help instill this same love of learning and knowledge in my students. In terms of teaching experience, I have taught students at both the high school and college level. I have experience teaching students from a variety of different backgrounds and at a wide range of skill levels. This experience has prepared me to teach English and literature to many different types of students. I am currently teaching at the College of Southern Nevada and for the Clark County School District. I am available to tutor students in a variety of topics relating to English, including college English, comparative literature, literature, essay editing, and writing. I am also comfortable tutoring students in Advanced Placement courses, such as English literature and composition and English language and composition. In terms of hobbies, I enjoy writing for television, writing poetry, and mountain biking.
