I went to the University of Maryland and earned my undergraduate degree in management and psychology. I then went on to Grand Canyon University for my masters degree in education. I'm licensed as an elementary school teacher in the state of Nevada, and I'm currently teaching first grade. I enjoy working with students of all ages in the courses that I tutor. I believe every student is capable of learning with the right guidance. When I work with students, I model concepts and problem-solving and then let students work on their own with my guidance to help them develop a solid understanding. I also utilize different teaching approaches, catering to the learning style and needs of each student that I work with. In addition, I enjoy using activities in my sessions that appeal to the student's interests and primary learning style. I can tutor elementary level math, reading, phonics, English through the college level, general elementary school, and test preparation for admissions exams and assessments like the AIMS and ISEE. In my free time, I enjoy sports.
