Experience
As someone who has lived among two, widely-varying cultures, I can work with students from all backgrounds. My life began in Spain, where I lived until I was twenty. I attended the Universidad Complutense in Madrid for two years, and then I moved to the United States, where I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees. My new home was in California, and that is where I started teaching. I acted as a high school science, English, and Spanish instructor. For twenty years, I took on various roles within the academic realm. I even became a dean. The experience was rewarding and fully prepared me to be an effective tutor.I derived a lot of joy and knowledge from the students I worked with. The best of these times came during one-on-one interaction, rather than in group settings. I like to see people exceed their own expectations and reach their full potential, which is something I have witnessed many times. It pleasures me to know that I have and will continue to have a lasting impact on the lives of young people who strive to learn. Education is a journey that never ends and, with the right mindset, all students can be independent and fulfilled.
