Because Spanish is a language I grew up speaking, I have developed a desire to share this language with students as a tutoring professional. Students can really benefit by learning more than one language because it helps expand their knowledge about other countries' cultures and customs. With the proper tutor, all students can travel through the intricacies of learning a new language and become fluent with a little determination and willpower. I encourage students to take a slow and steady pace while learning a new language, and offer encouragement and guidance through difficult concepts so they experience success and a feeling of accomplishment.Although my specialty in tutoring is Spanish, I also am very skilled at teaching other subjects, including Technology and Computer Science, Anthropology, and Math.I received my associate's degree in General Studies from Mt. Hood Community College in Oregon, and am currently working toward a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management with a specialization in Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts at UNLV.When I am not tutoring students or focusing on my college studies, I enjoy creating scrapbooks, trying out new recipes for sweet pastries, pies, and other baked goods, and catching up on the latest bestselling novel.
