Hobbies

I minored in classical music in college. This pursuit allowed me to align music and the written word, finding the music in the structure of a sentence, the harmony that exists between the words; that is what writing is. That is what I enjoy about editing and tutoring. When a writer is struggling with getting their ideas onto paper, it is usually because they can't hear the music of what they want to say. Once the student understands what it means to write, to free write a melody of ideas, they begin to grasp the power they have at the tip of their pen.
