Experience
I attended both Central Washington and Portland State Universities. At the present time, I work full time as a first grade teacher. Before that, I taught in a blended fifth/sixth grade class for half of the school year. I have been involved in education and child care for four years, holding a number of positions, including a counselor in summer camp, teaching kindergarten, teaching before and after school classes, as well as being a preschool teacher. I have worked with all ages of students, from infants to eighth graders. I feel that my experience has given me the ability to tailor my lessons to accommodate the learning style of each student. I have a genuine love for learning and for children, and I am looking forward to spending the summer working with students to help them reach their academic goals. I am available to tutor in a number of subjects, including Elementary Math, Reading, Writing, Phonics, Grammar and Mechanics, Study Skills and Organization, English, and Math. In my free time I enjoy singing, cooking, reading, and crafting.
