Experience
Eight years experience as a classroom teacher in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. Substitute teacher in all elementary grades. Tutoring experience in 3rd and 5th grades. Presently I am a counselor and consult with parents and teachers on how to motivate students to do their best academically. I also present frequent lessons to students on study skills, organization and test taking skills. I really enjoy working one on one with students to fill in gaps in academic areas and am rewarded by the joy and confidence it brings to each child as he or she experiences success.

Hobbies
I love to hike and bike and explore the outdoors. I spend as much time as possible with my family. We love to travel and discover new places. Collecting antiques and finding to new ways to use old things has been a hobby of mine over the years. Finally, I love to read and spend many hours reading both fiction and non-fiction books.
