Experience
I recently received my Bachelor of Arts at Tufts University, where I studied International Relations and minored in Economics. Before college, I was a boarding school student in Massachusetts. There I participated in the Boys and Girls' Club by working as a tutor for middle schoolers. I have actually been tutoring since I myself was in middle school, and I have experience teaching English as a foreign language as well. My long history in the field has given me the opportunity to work with many ages of students, from elementary school all the way to college. While in college, I was a T.A. for an SAT preparation center with an emphasis on math, writing, and literature. The SAT exams have since become my favorite thing to tutor due to the positive changes in the test's scoring system. In particular, I enjoy tutoring SAT writing because most schools leave much room for improvement in this area. In the end, I just love to watch my students fulfill their goals and learn to appreciate their growth and knowledge. When I'm not teaching, I practice yoga. Though I attend several types of classes, antigravity yoga is one of my favorites. I also like driving through national parks, checking out new places to eat, and going to the movies with friends.
