Experience
I was a teaching assistant for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine Summer of Discovery program. The program was a condensed summer course for high school students from various rural and urban regions of Nevada. I specifically worked with high school sophomores. I am also a mentor with DreamGirls International Outreach and Mentoring Program which offers mentorship and tutoring to underrepresented youth in Washoe County and now, South Africa. Both experiences are by far the most memorable and rewarding, hence, why I would like to continue to help others become academically successful.
