Former television, radio and print news reporter, writer, producer and editor (left the industry in January 2018). I was a television news reporter in Missoula, MT (ABC) and Tri-Cities, WA (NBC) before leaving the TV news industry in January to run my own business! As I build the business, I look forward to helping students as a way to supplement my income. I also have experience in news radio writing and reporting, newspaper writing for sports, and news writing straight-for-the-web. I have also written five self-published e-books covering topics such as entry-level journalism, how to land a television news job, surviving your first job in a newsroom, and how public relations professionals can properly utilize newsrooms to advance their causes.

Former collegiate baseball player, high school baseball coach, former (in-between opportunities) football and basketball play-by-play broadcaster, podcaster, and business owner! I’m a big Washington State Cougar (Go Cougs) and Seattle Mariner fan! RIP to the Seattle SuperSonics. I enjoy podcasts, investigative and longform journalism, 60 Minutes, The Office, seafood, and heading out on road trips! I love writing, communication and expression! Since I left the news industry to start my content consulting business, I’ve lost the consistent opportunities to write, edit and help people become better writers. Jumping into tutoring others to develop these skills is a great feeling! The burnout from the journalism industry is real, but the skills and expertise I take with me remain, and I’m excited to use my writing talents to help students in need!
