I attended Arizona State University for my political science degree. I also earned a philosophy minor. I then went on to the American Military University to earn a graduate degree in global history. I've been an officer in the Navy, and I've taught ESL in other countries and in the US. Currently I am pursuing a post baccalaureate secondary education degree so that I can teach social sciences. I'm also proficient in Spanish. As a tutor, I can assist students in Spanish, ESL, American history, world history, geography, Latin American history, world civilization, constitutional history, political science, philosophy, GED prep, CLEP prep, English, reading, writing, civics, expository writing, government, and others. I believe a good tutor knows the subject material and is able to present it in a way that is interesting and engaging for students. I also believe a good tutor should be able to take complex concepts in course material and break them down into simpler segments. I take on these responsibilities as a tutor to help my students make progress and achieve success. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, religion, hiking, running, exercise, movies, science fiction, music, good food, and travel.
