Experience
In 2007, I earned my bachelor's degree at the University of California at Los Angeles in Anthropology. I have since been working in the social services field assisting students and their families to find self-sufficiency. My work has involved diverse populations, who need an assortment of services. Some of the groups that I have worked with, include disabled adults, students with IEP's, disrupted families, and at risk youth. I have worked as tutor for children in primary and secondary schools in a variety of subject areas. I am currently a case manger and work with high school students who have been classified as at risk youth. I encourage these students to continue their education by creating personalized goals and then mentor them throughout the year. I have a passion for working with adolescents and youth because I believe that with the proper guidance and resources they will exceed any and all expectations. I am interested in tutoring a variety of subjects, such as Algebra, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Geometry, Reading, and Writing. When I have free time, I enjoy spending my evenings with a good book or watching a movie. I also like to cook, hike, and exercise.
