I have tutored students in various aspects of learning. I was a math and english Peer Tutor throughout high school and then again while I attended Culinary School for Math, Culinary Science, English, Marketing Management and study skills. I enjoy tutoring and strive for the "Ah Ha!" moment. My goal is to help students keep up in their classes and maintain the grades they desire.

Hobbies

In middle school, I found myself struggling in school. At the time, I blamed my parents for making my sisters and I move from school to school. My father was in the Air Force and it was hard for me to transition class rooms and curriculum. I spent a lot of time in tutoring centers from 3rd-8th grade. Once I entered High School, specific subjects clicked so much better for me! I had learned so many different study skills and how to keep myself organized. This lead to keeping the information I was learning in class organized in my head. In my Sophomore year of high school I became a Peer Tutor for Computer Skills, Study Skills, Algebra 1 and Contemporary Literature. After that first year of tutoring, I found myself hooked on helping students understand information and fill in gaps of information. My love for tutoring continued into my culinary school adventure. This is where I continued to learn myself and tutor students on Nutrition, Culinary Math, Finance, Costing, English and study skills. There, I tutored 1-on-1, in small groups and even lead large study groups. As far as my personal life goes, I love hiking, swimming, and spending time outdoors. Specifically, I enjoy camping with my family and my dog, rock climbing, and visiting my old stomping grounds in Northern California. I spend my free time doing crafts such as painting pottery and drawing. I consider myself to be a very outgoing, patient and kind person.
